  Extended News Item...

  10/25/2004    UFT Poll 2004
Well, I decided to poll some UFT peeps sitting on IRC today. It's a stupid poll, with huge error margins, but it's all just for fun. I was most suprised at the results. Typically, younger people play games like Quake. Stereotypically, younger people are Democrats. So when the poll ended, I was suprised to see it neck and neck.

I personally am a supporter of our democracy. Even though my candidate may not win, I will stand by the president, whomever it may be, when the call arises. That said, this sure is a highly emotional election. Party tempers are high, anger runs rampant, and everyone is sure they are right. The true spirit of democracy at it's best.

Just remember to actually vote (as this poll does not show if these are actual voters). Also remember, no matter who wins, America will always stand together, united, when in need. Best wishes to you candidate!

The Results!
KERRY WINS BY ONE VOTE!

Kerry 50%
Bush 47.7%
Undecided 2.3%

Additional, three questioned were also posed - though only a handful of the voters actually answered these questions, here are the results.

Do you believe Kerry Flip Flops on his opinions?
Yes 61.9%
No 38.1%

Do you believe Bush was UNAWARE there were no WMD's in Iraq?
Yes 38.1%
No 52.4%
Undecided 9.5%

Do you still have faith in the UN?
Yes 33.3%
No 61.9%
Undecided 4.8%

Well there it is folks. The most suprising out of these, from my point of view, is that most people believed Bush had knowledge that there were no WMDs in Iraq, yet went to war anyway. Wow. There's a charge.

Thanks to everyone who voted. It's is very much appreciated. Good Luck to your candidate!

Be sure to post comments about these results. Please don't bash me or the poll. It's all just for good fun. It's not meant to sway opinion, or be an exact measure of anything. :)
