Yes our fearless leader is once again 30 and still resembles his age. On behalf of the clan my brother we would like to bring you the warmest of birthday wishes. We hope your day is filled with peace and solitude in knowing that your clan members care about you very much and appreciate all the hard work you put in to keep this thing called SS running as smooth as you possibly can.

Congratulations on the arrival of their new babies!!

UFC has been put on hold for a bit, we will let you know when we have details pertaining to this. AZFL is the tourney that we are currently practicing for. There will be a five map rotation. We are not exactly sure what maps they are going to run but we will also announce that when they provide more details. We are also unsure if there are going to be 2 divisions or three, meaning, Casual, Competitive and Open. As of now we are sitting at two (Casual and Comp) but it could change to three.

If you do not already have the config additions from last week talk to Spike and he will help you out.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. Well another year has come and gone and yet another tournament. SS has come a long way in the last year, we placed third in the AZFL in the Casual division. We also finished fourth UFC tourney which was open to all clans. We have added several talented players and with their skill set have been able to put three very competitive teams together to enter into the next tourney. We hope that we can bring our first tourney win home this year and with our regular practice ritual we should be able to accomplish our goal. 

We are all now entered in the OGL (Online Gaming League) which means we are on a ladder scheme. To read all about it click here------>OGL

Spike arrived in the afternoon yesterday. Naturally, as he comes in, my mother is on the computer searching the internet for xmas presents to buy. He ends up helping her surf. She never does find those morbid black lamp shades my sister-in-law wants.

After a short trip around the small town of Slidell to drop off my mother, Spike and I head back the House of Ho to check out my awesome computer system. We talk for a while of the dynamics of strafe jumping and other intelligent quake jargon. 

Later, my son and partner finally arrive home, and my son has brought a friend to stay for the weekend. We're all packin in cars to head out to a marvelous Nawlins style restaurant, but when we arrive, the place is jammed like sardines. So we quickly leave for our old stand-by - O'Henrys. I was sure Spike was going to lose his mind having two kids with us, but you can tell he's an experienced parent, and he handled the kids with style. Whew.

From there, Spike and I leave for Downtown New Orleans - The Big Easy - or better known as the Big Sleazy. The French Quarter has some bustle going on, but it was not as busy as peak touristy seasons. Our first stop was a little shop where I needed to use an ATM. Of course the shop is blaring Cajun Zydeco music. Ahhhhh. Next up is drinks! We knew we both wanted margaritas, and of course there's alcohol for sale at every nook an cranny of the Quarter. And, yes, you can walk around all day with a beer in your hand in Nawlins. Now we are in search of something sleazy, and we hit the jackpot - The Dark Entry. It really used to be quite unique with a large roped off section showcasing some of their experimental gym equipment, but it was gone, in place of more slutty clothing for sale. Oh well. I still ended up purchasing an Army Of Darkness Bobblehead!! Way kewl!!

We wandered the streets in search of something more slutty. Sure nuff, that was next door. Every friggin place there has a sex show, sho-girls, female impersonators, or male strippers. We traversed the main street checking these places out (from the outside), and soon found a tee-shirt shop where Spike bought some Mardi Gras Feather Masks for his wife.

I tried to coaxed him to enter some of the titty bars, but he wanted to stay pure for his wife! How sweet! <burp> However, since he needed to use a bathroom, I took him to a place I know of that you do not need to buy a beer in order to use their John (no offense, John). After he handles his business and I purchase another round of Margaritas, Spike quietly notes that there are no women in this bar! Teeheehee. We left deftly. Teeheehee.

A little more wandering around and we're headed back to the Jeep. I have to explain to Spike that you don't have to worry about bringing your drinks in the car. He remembers that we also have drive-thru daiquiris.  :)  Nawlins wouldn't be Nawlins without it's love of alcohol.

Once back at the House Of Ho, I finally get the kids quieted down watching a movie, and we all crash for the night. I think Spike and I crashed swifter, but then we had a few drinks and my nose was going numb.

Well another tourney comes to a close. Shirts got to play a final match against LOD. We gave it our best shot however a slow start contributed to the loss. None the less SS is becoming a clan to reconned with. Our recruiting and team play is paying off large in the last two tourneys, having one team finishing fourth both times. 

We would like to thank all the members for their contribution to the clan, taking the time to attend practices to make this all happen. 

We are destined to become one of the biggest, diverse and one of the most talented clans in the Quake 3 Community.
